APPLE Anounces that Steve Jobs is dead

Steve Jobs the founder and former CEO of APPLE died on October 5 2011. He was born on February 24 1955.  He and his partners sold their first computer in the late 1970s while Steve Jobs was still in his early 20s.

He had just resigned from his post as CEO of Apple in September of 2011.  At the time he stepped down from his CEO position, he said that the company had out grown his capacity to lead and need someone else.  This seemed a shock in light of his ability to shape the world of computing for 3 decades.  Even his most fierce competitor Bill Gates acknowledged that without Steve Jobs the current look of computing would not in any way resemble what we have.  The health issues surely played a role in the decision of APPLE to proceed with a new CEO knowing that Steve Jobs would not be physically able to lead the company.

The world of technology and the APPLE family will all miss the leadership and creativity of Steve Jobs.

Another example of a multimap would be an e-book or online book that has an index. In the index you will find a list of topics or keywords that are contained within the book. If a topic or word is contained in multiple pages, chapters or sections, the pages will be listed and that is a multimap in that you can click to go to any of the various locations to find the use of that topic or word. Thereby being multimap(ped) multimapped throughout the book. At first blush the name seems to point us to a single application of multimap and that is geocoding (geo-coding)> Geocoding allows you to find a specific address using the exact lattitude and exact longitude. Currently geocoding in multimap allows you to point up to twenty addresses in a single map application in Great Britian. You can set the criteria using city or town, zip code, state, or a variety of other address parameters. How to Make Your Own Website

Register Your Domain

The first step to make your own website is to register your domain.  I recommend that you register the domain for your website with godaddy or another established company that focuses on domain registration.  Many hosting companies also offer to help you make your own website from start to finish including the domain registration.  The problem is that if your hosting company goes out of business or you need to change hosting companies for any reason, it is very difficult to transfer domain registration.  If your domain is registered with godaddy you can switch hosting companies very easily and painlessly.

Godaddy offers a tool for helping you to find an available url so that you can choose an available name to make your own website.  It is likely that your first choice won’t be available.  I recommend against taking some odd extension like a .tv or .info It would be much better to make a longer website name and have a .com

Find a Hosting Company

If you haven’t already found a company to host your website on their servers you need to find a good hosting company with a history of financial stability.  We are currently using hostgator because we have several websites and they offer a package for unlimited domains for one annual fee.  If you are only going to make your own website once you may find something less expensive.  Make sure you compare the options of how much space you can have on the servers, how many email accounts you can have, etc…

Now have godaddy or who ever you registered your domain name with point the domain to your server.  You need to have your hosting company’s nameservers NS numbers to enter so that when people enter your domain name in a search the internet can find your website.

Make Your Own Website

Now you are really ready to start to make you own website.   I recommend using wordpress.  If you have had a blog you may be familiar with wordpress and their tools.  It is quite easy to setup your website with the templates and gadgets that word press has available.  If you are unfamiliar with wordpress you may need a tutorial on word press or you can find other website templates that you can use to make your own website.
