I’ve always been a mainstream computer user. I’ve never really bothered to find linux definitions or explanations, because I’ve never really been a linux user. Since I started dating a math and computer geek (in the best and hottest sense of the words), I’ve indirectly and unintentionally started to find linux definitions. Did I find linux? Good question. Umm…let me get back to you on that. All joking aside, I think I am still trying to find linux. I’m one of those lifelong learning types, and I still feel that my mission of find linux is not yet done. I don’t know nearly everything there is to know. I feel like I know hardly any of what there is to know. I would like to know more, learn more, find linux more. And perhaps I will. After all, I am going to be married to a computer guy.

This seemed a shock in light of his ability to shape the world of computing for 3 decades. Even his most fierce competitor Bill Gates acknowledged that without Steve Jobs the current look of computing would not in any way resemble what we have. The health issues surely played a role in the decision of APPLE to proceed with a new CEO knowing that Steve Jobs would not be physically able to lead the company.
The world of technology and the APPLE family will all miss the leadership and creativity of Steve Jobs.
Multimap users are a unique group of programmers who speak their own language and are behind the scenes using multimap to create many of the entertaining and informing programs that we all love and appreciate. Another example of a multimap would be an e-book or online book that has an index. In the index you will find a list of topics or keywords that are contained within the book. If a topic or word is contained in multiple pages, chapters or sections, the pages will be listed and that is a multimap in that you can click to go to any of the various locations to find the use of that topic or word. Thereby being multimap(ped) multimapped throughout the book. At first blush the name seems to point us to a single application of multimap and that is geocoding (geo-coding)> Geocoding allows you to find a specific address using the exact lattitude and exact longitude. Currently geocoding in multimap allows you to point up to twenty addresses in a single map application in Great Britian. You can set the criteria using city or town, zip code, state, or a variety of other address parameters. There are so many amazing toolbars out there, many of them so intricate that you have to be highly skilled in order to use them. I remember when I bought my first music notation software in the 90′s. That had a fairly straight forward toolbar that seemed easy enough to use but then each new version of that program (I think they have done about a dozen now) the toolbar seems to get more and more complicated. Maybe I am just getting tired of learning new stuff with each new version.
You know, it’s funny how many times I have clicked a toolbar just to get this blog done. Here’s a quick challenge for you: in the next half an hour that you are working on your computer, see if you can count how many times you use a toolbar. Of course, that leads to the question, “What is the actual definition of a toolbar?” Is it that row across the bottom of my screen? How about the one across the top of my window? What about within each website? Are all those hyperlinks you can click considered a toolbar?
Incredible the possibility of being freed from electric and gas with the hope of generating hydrogen from solar panels. Although a small experiment is a long way from giving us hydrogen powered cars, it still holds out the possibility of energy sources and transformations that seemed to be nothing more than pipe dreams a few years ago. Imagine if the president inspired us now like happened almost fifty years ago. It became the impetus for years of exploration and technological advances. Such a speech if given today could not rehash the old standbys of wind and solar power or electric cars. Instead we need a leader to inspire us to finding freedom from electric and gas power. Perhaps it won’t be a president, but an entrepreneurial business man who has vast resources to provide some incentives and promotion of the advancement of exploring new sources of power. If a business man steps to the plate it can’t be to invest in a current plan with hopes of expansion, but someone who is willing to motivate scientist and other great thinkers to explore ideas that have never been touched.
Electric and gas are the current ball and chain that have kept us invested in relationships with dictators and other men who have evil intents. In some way our selfish investment in their resources gives us ownership of some the guilt for their bad acts. What would it take to free us from the prison bars of electric and gas? Some of us may choose to live in a very simple way that reduces our usage of the resources, but it is unlikely that we will ever achieve cultural freedom from large amounts of energy consumed on a daily basis.
Perhaps all of this will only happen if the crisis of a shortage of energy sources reaches a critical juncture that pushes those with the research facilities and the training to truly focus on solving the problem and bring us into a hopeful view of the next 1000 years.

I am sure that like any big business with a large market that if there were no competitors, verizon wireless would probably drive rates up to the maximum that the market could handle and drastically change the way that most consumers view their cell phone bill. Even the release of previous iphones has forced Verizonwireless to take big steps to acquire a piece of the iphone market. I trust that cellphone manufacturers will continue to develop new technology and cheaper methods of improving signal strength and speed.
